The crew of the cruiser "Varyag" conducts training exercises in the Mediterranean Sea

The crew of the Russian "Varyag" cruiser conducted exercises in the Mediterranean Sea, where they worked to destroy unmanned boats and drones, in addition to repelling an attack by a hypothetical enemy ship.

The Information Department of the Pacific Fleet noted in a statement, “The crew of the flagship of the Pacific Fleet of the Nakhimov Guard, the Varyag cruiser, conducted a set of planned exercises in the Mediterranean Sea.”

It is noteworthy that the ship's crew accomplished the tasks of destroying small-sized, high-speed targets at sea, camouflaged the cruiser with a smoke screen, and combat groups trained to distribute targets in the face of a hypothetical attack by drone boats.

The cruiser crew also repelled the attack of the hypothetical enemy ship using AK-130 and AK-630 artillery launchers on a model simulating a surface target.
