European Parliament member, Manuel Pineda, confirmed that "solidarity with the Palestinian people is growing, not only in the United States, but across the Atlantic and today in France and Italy."
In his statement, Pineda gave an example of universities in Spain in solidarity with Gaza, saying: “At the University of Valencia in Spain, for more than a week, there has been a presence of tents supporting the Palestinian people in the Faculty of Philosophy, where the students protesting were demanding an end to all types of collusion between the European Union and the Spanish government with the entity.”
He stressed that "the Spanish government must stop buying or selling weapons to the usurping entity, and for there to be no agreements between Spanish universities
and the universities of the occupying entity.”
Pineda continued: "Let us stand with the victims and not with the executioners, let us stand with humanity instead of the barbaric, in the end, Palestine will prevail and we hope that it will be sooner rather than later."
