People of Yarmouk Camp Hold Rallies Reviving the Quds International Day

In commemoration of the Quds International Day, the Permanent Committee for the Quds International Day and the Palestinian resistance factions in Syria held an event entitled "The Flood of the Free People" in the Yarmouk Camp in Damascus.

The event included a show by residents of the Palestinian camps in Syria and several speeches were made with a wide popular presence, official figures, leaders of parties, factions, Arab and Islamic forces, clerics, and a number of representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Damascus.

Quds day is an annual pro-Palestinian event held on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to express support for Palestinians and oppose Israel and Zionism. The event, initiated by the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, was first held in 1979 in Iran, shortly after the Islamic Revolution.
