152 days of war on Gaza...the occupation continues its aggression amid an international warning of an increase in child deaths

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression and genocidal war on Gaza and commits more massacres against civilians and displaced people throughout the Strip for the 152nd day in a row, coinciding with a war of starvation, especially in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.

The occupation warplanes launched a series of violent raids on areas north of Khan Yunis, while its artillery bombed Hamad City, west of Khan Yunis.

The occupation aircraft bombed a house for Abu Arab family in Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, and launched violent raids on the city of Rafah.

The occupation artillery bombed citizens' houses in Al-Mughraqa and the northwestern neighborhoods of Al-Nuseirat camp.

The Israeli occupation artillery renewed intense bombardment of several areas in eastern Al-Fukhari, east of the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, and east of Al-Bureij and Al-Nuseirat camp in the central Strip.

Three martyrs were killed and a number of civilians were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house for Al-Attar family in the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said that several injuries were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital after a house was targeted in Hakar Al-Jami’ area in Deir Al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Tuesday, Internet services were cut off from Rafah and Central governorates in the Gaza Strip, before they began to gradually return, but at a very weak level and capacity, in the city of Rafah, south of the Strip.

The occupation warplanes opened fire east of Gaza City, while the occupation warplanes launched an air strike on Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip, while 9 martyrs arrived at the Shifa Medical Hospital in Gaza.

The northern Gaza Strip is witnessing intense Israeli bombing, and local residents reported that a child was killed and others were injured in a bombing that targeted Palestinians on Al-Rashid Street in the central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the occupation military vehicles advanced in the vicinity of Asfour station in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis, amid heavy gunfire.

Civil Defense crews recovered martyrs and wounded from under the rubble of a house targeted by the occupation on Al-Hojaa Street in Jabalia Camp, north of Gaza, while they were able to rescue a child in the same bombing.

In the context of Israeli violations and attacks against the Palestinian media, the government media office in the Gaza Strip announced, yesterday evening, the martyrdom of journalist and Al-Aqsa Channel broadcaster, Muhammad Salama, due to the occupation’s bombing of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

The office announced that the number of journalist martyrs had risen to 133 martyrs since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7th.

In addition, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, Michael Fakhry, said, “Israel is bombing humanitarian convoys in Gaza despite knowing their routes.”

Fakhri stressed that “Israel does not want any aid to reach the needy in Gaza, and is waging a clear war of starvation.”

Fakhri called for imposing sanctions on the occupying entity for ignoring the decisions of the International Court of Justice, and asked, “Why does Washington drop aid by air despite the chaos it causes?!”

On the humanitarian level, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned of an imminent deterioration and increase in the number of child deaths linked to malnutrition in the Gaza Strip, explaining that death rates in the north of the Strip are three times higher than those recorded in the south.

In turn, UNICEF spokesman, James Elder, said in a press conference at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, that the number of child deaths as a result of malnutrition will continue to rise if the worsening nutrition crisis in the Gaza Strip is not resolved.

Elder explained that malnutrition rates among children under the age of five in the north are three times higher than those in Rafah in the south.

In addition to hunger, Elder said there is an increasing risk of infectious diseases, as 9 out of every 10 children under the age of five (about 220,000 children) have become ill over the past weeks.
