Gallant: The ground incursion into Gaza is one of the most complex operations in our history... and the war in the north has severe costs

Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, confirmed that the ground incursion into Gaza is one of the “most complex” operations in the history of the occupation army’s wars, noting that the war in the north has severe costs for Israel.

In a press briefing, yesterday evening, Monday, Gallant said, “Hamas only understands the language of force, and its leaders are currently going through difficult circumstances inside their hideouts.”

Gallant claimed, "Yahya Sinwar does not lead the war or control the forces. His main concern now is to survive himself, and he is unable to communicate with his circles."

In describing the war of extermination waged by the occupation army in Gaza, the Zionist minister pointed out that “this military operation is being conducted with precision and determination, and will continue during the coming months.”

The Minister of War stressed that "this ground operation is continuing in order to create conditions for the release of the hostages, and our soldiers are engaged in a ground operation that is the most complex in the history of wars."

In this context, Gallant said, “The Israeli army formed a plan to dismantle Hamas and free the kidnapped people, and half of Hamas’ forces were killed or damaged, and 18 Hamas brigades were eliminated.”

He stressed that "the Israeli army will reach places where it has not fought in the center of the Gaza Strip and in the south, especially in Rafah, where the hidden militants await the same fate as the militants in Khan Yunis, either surrender or death."

In addition, Gallant said, “The army will not hesitate to use military force to restore security in the north, and if war breaks out, there will be severe costs for Israel, but they will be more difficult for Lebanon and Hezbollah.”
