The United Nations confirms that it and its partners are continuing to provide life-saving medical assistance in Gaza

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed that relief organizations are doing everything in their power to provide life-saving medical assistance to civilians in Gaza.

According to the United Nations Office, since the start of the aggression on Gaza, “more than 20 humanitarian partners have had a presence on the ground in the Strip, providing health services to more than half a million people.”

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs explained that "more than 10 emergency medical teams are working in Gaza, and two additional teams are scheduled to arrive next week."
 


The UN office said, "Hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza lack adequate shelter, and displaced communities urgently need shelter supplies to protect them from the harsh weather."

He pointed out that "over the past week, the United Nations partners in the humanitarian field distributed more than 1,000 family tents in Khan Yunis and Rafah to displaced persons who do not have shelter. They also provided more than 1,400 pieces of bedding supplies and 1,100 sets of clothing to the displaced in Rafah."

The office also reported that “more than a 10 humanitarian partners provided approximately 1.7 million people across the Gaza Strip with at least one form of food assistance, and Rafah Governorate received about half of the total food assistance.”

The United Nations reiterated that “access to northern Gaza is essential to address the catastrophic food insecurity conditions of the population there.”
