In a lightning operation that took a few minutes, Israeli special forces assassinated in cold blood, at dawn on Tuesday, 3 young men inside Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli special forces stormed the hospital, headed to the third floor, and assassinated 3 young men using silencer pistols.
The martyrs are Muhammad Walid Jalamneh, one of the most prominent leaders of the Al-Qassam Brigades in Jenin, Muhammad Ayman Al-Ghazawi “Al-Hawawi,” one of the leaders and founders of the Jenin Battalion, and his wounded brother Basil Al-Ghazawi.
Surveillance cameras spread inside the hospital's corridors documented the details of the moments that preceded the assassination, while the blood and remains of the martyrs remained on the hospital beds as a witness to the execution process to which they were subjected from scratch while they slept.
The Director General of Health in Jenin Governorate, Wissam Sbeihat, said that this crime is another crime added to the record of the occupation’s crimes, in which an injured person and his companions were executed, and medical staff were attacked.
Speaking to reporters, Subeihat explained that the patient, Basil Ayman Al-Ghazawi, had been being treated for months for a previous injury, in the medical rehabilitation department, and he had two companions with him, as the patient could not serve himself by himself and needed companions.
Subeihat explained that the raid was carried out in a covert manner, as members of the special force disguised themselves as civilians and as doctors and nurses.
Sbeihat estimated their number at about 12 people, including 3-4 who disguised themselves as women and had baby carriages, in addition to a person wearing a white doctor’s uniform, and another person in a nursing uniform.
He added that the attack on a nurse in the reception corner was documented, before they went to the room in which the three young men were, and which had no cameras inside, and carried out the assassination.
This is the third operation carried out by undercover members of the occupation forces inside West Bank hospitals in recent years.
In October 2015, a special force in civilian clothing infiltrated the Arab Specialized Hospital in the city of Nablus, arrested the wounded Karam Al-Masry, who was receiving treatment for his injury while participating in the “Itamar” operation, and severely beat him.
A month later of the same year, another force of undercover agents infiltrated Alia Hospital in Al-Khalil and arrested an injured citizen whom the occupation accused of carrying out a stabbing attack. Another citizen was martyred at the hands of the special force inside the hospital.
