The Sanaa negotiating delegation to Unews: We rejected offers to lift the blockade in exchange for stopping support for Gaza, and our resistance will grow stronger

A member of the Sana'a negotiating delegation, Hamid Assem, confirmed that Sana'a had previously received offers related to lifting the siege on Yemen and paying salaries and compensation, in exchange for abandoning its position on supporting Gaza, pointing out that Sana'a rejected these offers and will continue to support Gaza.

In statements to Unews Agency about whether the American designation of Ansar Allah as a “terrorist movement” would affect the peace between Sanaa and Riyadh, Assem said, “If America prevents Saudi Arabia today from moving forward with signing the peace between us and it, there is no doubt that this will affect the peace process.”

Assem said, “We know that the aggression that was launched against Yemen in the year 2015 was an American, British, Saudi, Emirati, and Zionist aggression, and Saudi Arabia and the UAE were fighting us openly, and America and Britain were fighting us secretly, but today the picture has become clear and America and Britain are fighting us openly, and according to what American sources stated, the operation Signing peace depends on our position in Gaza, and we do not compromise.”

He added, "There was an incentive that they would lift the siege on Yemen and pay salaries and compensation in exchange for us abandoning our position on Gaza, but we categorically rejected that."

Regarding whether the American-British aggression will discourage Yemen from supporting Gaza, Assem stressed that “what will happen is the opposite. Our resistance will grow stronger and we will harness a large part of our capabilities to develop our weapons. They cannot undermine our position, as it is a principled and consistent position that stems from the Holy Qur’an.”
