On Monday, Israeli forces launched an assault targeting an apartment within a building situated near a mosque in the densely populated Raheb area of Beirut's southern suburbs, close to the Kuwaiti Embassy.
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jabri, Secretary-General of the Movement of the Nation, confirmed that the recent attack, which struck both a mosque and a residential complex, constitutes further evidence that "this adversary shows no regard for the sanctity of houses of worship and sacred sites." In a statement to UNEWS agency, Al-Jabri asserted that such repeated aggressions against the area and its inhabitants will not undermine their steadfastness, stating, "The environment of resistance is cohesive, and we are part of this environment, God willing."
He added that the damage inflicted upon the mosque and the complex underscores the extremist nature of an enemy that fails to distinguish between military targets, civilian structures, and religious sanctities. "The damage to this mosque and this complex is nothing but proof that this enemy does not respect the inviolability of houses of worship," he said.
Al-Jabri emphasized a readiness to continue offering support and sacrifice, declaring, "In short, we say that everything we have, we offer for the sake of Palestine, for the freedom of Lebanon, and for the dignity and pride of this nation." Concluding his remarks, he vowed that this path would continue "until we enter Palestine as conquerors and victors."
He further pledged to provide all necessary sacrifices along this course, stating, "However much blood we offer, however much of our livelihoods we offer, however much of our homes and our places we offer, all that we possess is a ransom for this path and this methodology."
