
Israeli airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut have resulted in catastrophic damage to residential buildings, streets, commercial establishments, and shops. These attacks, which have been ongoing since the dawn of Monday, March 2nd, persistently target the area.
For over a week, daily warnings have been issued, urging residents of the southern suburbs to evacuate completely and not remain in the area. The strikes have focused on residential structures, roadways, and commercial properties, in addition to educational and pedagogical centers.
In its daily report, the Disaster Risk Management Unit of the Lebanese Prime Minister's Office announced that the casualty toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on Lebanon, which began on the current March 2nd, has risen to 570 martyrs and 1,444 injured.
The unit further indicated that the total number of self-registered displaced persons in shelters has reached 759,300. Meanwhile, the number of displaced individuals currently accommodated in shelters stands at 122,600, representing 31,500 displaced families.
