Yemeni Scholars Association Hosts Event on Jerusalem and Palestinian Cause, Honors Late Leader

The Yemeni Scholars Association convened a scholarly event in the capital, Sana'a, marking the anniversary of Al-Isra' (the Night Journey) and the annual commemoration of the martyrdom of Sayyid Hussein Al-Houthi. The gathering, held under the theme "Jerusalem: The Core of the Islamic-Zionist Conflict and the Role of Yemen as a Source of Support," was attended by a number of scholars, political figures, and religious personalities.

During the event, Association member Fuad Naji emphasized that the "martyred leader, Sayyid Hussein Al-Houthi, spearheaded the confrontation against the tyranny of the era." He noted that the anniversary of Al-Isra' serves as a reminder to the Islamic nation of its religious and moral duty towards Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause.

He further stated that the suffering endured by the Yemeni people has not deterred them from fulfilling their duty to support the people of Gaza, considering this stance a "compelling argument to the rest of the Islamic nation."

In a statement to Unews Agency, Association member Khaled Musa called on the Islamic nation to "unify its ranks in confronting the United States, Israel, and their proxies." He warned against "being drawn into the strife and chaos that enemies seek to ignite within Islamic nations."

He clarified that "the American and Zionist enemy remains the most dangerous and malicious adversary," asserting that anyone who "prioritizes any other enmity over the enmity of America and Israel is distant from the essence of Islam."

For his part, Association member Abdul Fattah Al-Kabsi affirmed that the message from Yemen's scholars to their enemies is clear: "The resistance grows stronger day by day, and its popularity expands with the increasing awareness of the people and their determination to confront occupation and global arrogance." He urged Arab and Islamic nations to awaken from their slumber and take serious action to support the oppressed and defend Jerusalem.

The event's concluding statement, issued by the Yemeni Scholars Association, affirmed that "Jerusalem represents the core of the Islamic-Zionist conflict." It declared that "everyone who supports Al-Aqsa Mosque stands on the side of truth, while anyone who aligns with the Israeli and American enemy stands on the side of falsehood, regardless of the titles or names they hide behind."

The statement called upon the rulers, governments, and peoples of the Islamic nation to "shoulder their responsibilities to save Al-Aqsa Mosque from the defilement of Zionist occupation." It emphasized that "supporting Gaza, providing it relief, and rebuilding it are among the most obligatory religious duties," considering negligence or neutrality as "complicity in the enemy's crimes."

The statement further urged bolstering resolve and preparing for the next phase of the conflict against the nation's enemies and their agents. It also called on the people of the occupied southern and eastern provinces to "unify their stance with their brothers in the free provinces to expel the occupiers and invaders," while affirming "solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people in confronting the Zionist-American conspiracy."
