Hezbollah Official Honors Quranic Center Directors in Southern Lebanon, Emphasizes Role of Religious Education in Resistance

Hajj Abdullah Nasser, the official responsible for Hezbollah's first Jabal Amel district, sponsored the second annual honorary ceremony for directors of Quranic centers in southern Lebanon. The event was held in the city of Tyre and attended by the Director-General of the Quran Karim Association, Sheikh Talal Al-Mismar, the district's Cultural Official, Sheikh Shawqi Khatoun, and the Association's Director, Sheikh Muhammad Tarrad, alongside the honorees.

The ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Hajj Nasser then delivered a speech emphasizing the critical role of Quranic centers in disseminating the teachings of the Quran and linking them to contemporary political and security realities. He cited the verse, "So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Quran a great striving," asserting that the actions of the resistance fighters today embody the Quranic concept of jihad in the face of the enemy.

Nasser stated, "This is the society we all approve of—one where Quranic activity becomes as prevalent as Hussaini activity. An Islamic nation that does not act according to the Quran has no civilization, an Islamic society that does not move through the Quran has no value, and a resistance that does not operate through the Quran has no importance."

He added, "We will proceed, carrying the Quran in one hand and our weapons in the other, following the path of our master and supreme leader, the martyr, as he taught us and as we pledged to him to continue this path regardless of the sacrifices."

Addressing adversaries, Nasser continued, "Do not bet on our defeat or our weakness. We are an unbreakable people. Our ideology is Quranic, our heart is Quranic, our blood is Hussaini, our voice is Zainabi, our arms are Abbasid, and our path is the path of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny."

He affirmed the resistance's right to defend the land and the people, calling on the government to commit to halting aggressions and initiating reconstruction efforts to enable the return of residents to their border towns, describing this as an irrevocable popular choice.

Nasser also directed a message to the families of martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded, assuring them that the resistance's sons would live up to their expectations and are prepared to confront any aggression, whatever the cost.

He criticized certain officials he described as subservient to enemies, stressing that Hezbollah remains steadfast in its position and will continue to defend the homeland and its people with all its strength.

The ceremony included honorary speeches from the leadership of the Quran Karim Association. Sheikh Al-Mismar praised the efforts of those running the Quranic centers and their role in serving attendees, while Sheikh Khatoun highlighted the Association's pioneering role in preparing Quranic elites and teachers, and elevating interest in the project and public engagement with Quranic centers in society.
