
Basra Governorate formally observed the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of the Victory leaders and Iranian advisors in official and public ceremonies. The events embodied the principles of fidelity to their sacrifices and honored their role in confronting terrorism and defending Iraq's sovereignty. The commemorations were attended by leadership figures from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), as well as religious and community leaders.
Jassim Al-Miyahi, Commander of the Fourth Brigade in the PMF, stated that commemorating this anniversary is an occasion of religious and moral significance. He affirmed that the martyred leaders symbolize sacrifice for the sake of values and principles, calling for the continued observance of this anniversary as a milestone to renew commitment to their path.
For his part, Sheikh Youssef Al-Azzal, the PMF's Ideological Guidance official, clarified that martyrdom holds a supreme status in religious consciousness. He emphasized the importance of conveying the meanings of these sacrifices to future generations, considering them part of the ongoing journey to defend religious and human values in the region.
Sheikh Abu Awn Al-Ammy noted that participation in the commemoration represents a stand of loyalty to the martyrs, highlighting the sacrifices they made in defense of Iraq. He affirmed the necessity of remembering them through prayers and supplications for mercy.
In the same context, Sheikh Ali Al-Tamimi, the PMF's Intellectual and Moral Guidance official, extended his condolences to Iran, both government and people, on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Iranian advisors and Victory leaders. He emphasized that this occasion reflects the depth of the relationship between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples and the cooperative partnership that emerged during the confrontation of the security challenges faced by Iraq.
