
MP Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, emphasized that the rising tensions in the region, fueled by ongoing threats from Israel, necessitate the highest levels of cooperation and coordination among the region's nations and peoples. He asserted that the present danger threatens everyone without exception.
Representing the Lebanese Parliament alongside MP Qassem Hashem at the Planning and Budget Committee meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Doha, Fadlallah reiterated his condemnation of Israeli aggressions against a number of states, including Qatar, as well as attacks on Iran, Yemen, and Syria. He further denounced the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, which continues unabated before a silent world.
Fadlallah highlighted that Lebanon continues to face persistent Israeli assaults, including the killing of civilians and violations of national sovereignty. He stressed that the fundamental demand is an immediate halt to these aggressions, coupled with efforts to safeguard Lebanon's sovereignty and restore its stability.
During the visit, MPs Fadlallah and Hashem met with Qatari Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, conveying the greetings of Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Fadlallah discussed the historical ties between Lebanon and Qatar, acknowledging Qatar's significant support for Lebanon during difficult periods and its steadfast solidarity, and expressed the Lebanese people's appreciation for this enduring support.
For his part, Al-Ghanim reciprocated greetings to Speaker Berri, reaffirming Qatar's unwavering support for Lebanon in confronting its current challenges. He emphasized that this support will continue regardless of the circumstances.
